Applications for full-time employment, substitute teacher, low-incidence substitute teacher, substitute teacher aide may be obtained by clicking on the appropriate application listed below. Fill out the application needed and either send or bring to the South Central Ohio ESC, Administration Office, 411 Court Street, Room 105, Portsmouth, OH 45662. Applications for expiring licenses/certificates/permits may be obtained from our office or may be acquired from the Ohio Department of Education website by going to http://www.ode.state.oh.us/GD/Templates/Pages/ODE/ODEDetail.aspx?page=3&TopicRelationID=1283&ContentID=1026&Content=66492 and downloading the correct application. After filling out the application please send or drop off the application to our office with a check for the application fee made out to Treasurer, State of Ohio. Please note that all new licenses and license renewals require both state BCI & I and FBI fingerprinting due to changes in the state law. The background checks are good for 365 days from the date the fingerprinting was completed. Background checks may be completed in Room 101 of our building. Please bring a valid driver’s license or ID card and a money order or exact cash for payment. Cost for the state background check is $32.00 and the FBI background check is $35.00.
