Two employees of the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center, in New Boston, were recognized by their governing board during a meeting on May 9.
“Our motto at the ESC is ‘Where Service is Central,’ and today during our board meeting, the board recognized two ESC employees that illustrate our motto each day,” said ESC Superintendent Sandy Mers.
Sharee Price and Merit Smith were both recognized by the board.
“Sharee Price is our gifted services coordinator and is responsible for copious activities for the students in our member district. She is also the force behind acquiring community sponsors that help provide summer scholarships to students. To date Sharee has raised over $230,000 for the summer scholarship program. We appreciate the work she does with all of her programs,” Mers said. “Merit Smith was also recognized by the board. Merit works in our maintenance department but helps with everything within our agency. If anything is needed he jumps in to help. He consistently goes beyond the call of duty and we are so very appreciative to have him.”
