Direct services are provided to students in the areas of audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, speech/language pathology and vision. School psychologists and speech/language pathologists work in local school districts in Scioto County. Audiologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and teachers of the Visually Impaired provide services in cooperating school districts in Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Jackson counties. These services include assessment, participation in the development of IEPs, and the provision of direct and consultative interventions.
In addition, the South Central Ohio E.S.C. provides cooperative units for Hearing Impaired (HI) students. The HI unit supports K-12 students from Scioto and Lawrence counties and is located in the Green Local School District.
