The Ohio Revised Code requires that all School Bus Driver be issued a local School Bus Driver Certificate before they can drive each school year http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/3327.10.
Under the same section, drivers are required to have four hours of in-service each year. The South Central Ohio Educational Service Center provides these services along with background checks and scheduling of physicals for all member schools.
