Low Incidence

Our Low Incidence classrooms are designed to support the needs of students in the public school setting who experience moderate to intensive disabilities.
Students, ages 5-21, are supported by teams of highly-qualified ESC professionals (Intervention Specialists, Related Service Providers, Para-Professionals). The program ensures a safe, structured classroom environment, access to academic content standards, high-quality, specially designed instruction, and inclusion opportunities with appropriate supports. We also provide community-based instruction to develop the social, independent living, and employability skills of our students through trips outside the classroom.
The SCOESC, and our partner school districts, take seriously the charge to provide an outstanding learning experience for all students.
Districts currently participating in the MD cooperative programs include: Bloom-Vernon, Clay, Green, Minford, New Boston, Northwest, Valley, Washington-Nile, and Wheelersburg. Through consistent communication and commitment to excellence, the SCOESC strives to provide our students and their families with an outstanding educational experience.
