Shawnee State University’s School of Education and the Graduate Center are partnering with the Lawrence County ESC, Ross-Pike ESC, and the South Central Ohio ESC to provide the Summer Virtual Academy from June 1-30. In an effort to support our region's educators and give back to our educators who give so much, the Summer Virtual Academy will offer free workshop classes for continuing education, or teachers may register for graduate classes to earn 1-3 graduate workshop credit hours. The graduate workshop tuition rate is $130 per hour.
These online classes will be led by faculty from the School of Education and include courses presented by state and regional experts, as well as Curriculum Supervisors from Lawrence, Ross-Pike and South Central Ohio ESCs, who will address critical issues in education and strategies for meeting the learning needs of all students. Attached to this email is a list of on-line classes and specific courses; each course is worth approximately 5 contact hours.
